Tau Wooden Cross Blessed By Pope -Franciscan Crucifix 1"

A small olive wood Tau cross in the Franciscan tradition, hand-finished and hung on a simple brown cord. The Tau is the sign St. Francis of Assisi chose as his own, and this pocket-sized version keeps it close every day.

• Size: 1" x 0.75" (2.5 cm x 2 cm)
• Material: olive wood, on a brown cord
• Blessing: Blessed by Pope Leo XIV
• Shipping: Ships from Rome, Italy

Because olive wood carries its own grain, each cross differs slightly from the photo in color and veining, though never in size or shape. St. Francis adopted the Tau after hearing Pope Innocent III speak on the symbol, and it remains the emblem of the Franciscan Order today.
